WELCOME TO MY BLOG

My name is Nadia Estibaliz Gonzalez Hernandez

In this blog I’m gonna talk about me and all my journey during high school!

I’ll talk about:

  1. Student life activities
  2.  Community service and social leadership activities
  3.  International programs
  4. Projects with optativas
  5. Career that you will study

Student life activities

As a Prepa Tec student, I feel that I’ve learned more about myself that any other time in my life.

I’m gonna be honest, this is probably the most stressful part of my blog.

In Tec, we do a lot of different activities that start as a project and by the end of it we realized we were actually doing an activity that helped us develop or different abilities.

As an example, MUN that was a project we had to do for third semester and it was a great experience even though I realized it wasn’t really what I wanted to do twice.

(Some of my friends that I really apreciate and that I met in TEC/ forth semester)

Community service and social leadership activities

During all my journey of high school, we’ve always been doing some kind of community service for example; in third and forth semester we went to paint the walls and the equipment to all different kind of schools that didn’t have the same resources as we do.

For fifth semester we prepared a whole day of classes to teach to young kids in the same schools as last year. I personally did the class of sports and English! It was the most heart melting experience that I’ve had with kids even when I don’t get along with young people that much.

Projects with optativas

During fifth semester I was in the optativa: «Mirando hacia la igualdad de género» which I really liked because it’s really what all my thoughts are going to in this specific moment of my life. We talked about relevant stuff that was happening in México related to that topic.

As a final project we did a photographic exhibition about different kind of themes, as machismo, domestic violence, feminism, etc…

Cultural Activities

During all my high school, I’ve been doing a lot of cultural activities like Feria de Humanidades and photographic sessions with my classmates for a class.

In my first Feria de Humanidades we had to paint an original animal for México, so we did!

Last year was my last Feria de Humanidades as a student and that year we had to cooked a Mexican dish; along side my team we offered everyone: Mole con Pollo Verde.

This are just of some of my favorite cultural activities that I did with my friends. I’ll of some more and I’ll let you know later! 🙂

International program

Quebec! I traveled to Canada during the summer of 2019.

I met people from all different schools and campus, I’ve made some good friends!

Take a look at my favorite picture with them.

(From left to right — Juan from CDMX,  Paolo and Armando from Hermosillo, Me, Alexia from Ciudad Obregón, Sofia, Sara and Monica from Monterrey)

I fell in love with the city, it was an amazing experience to practice my French and to get to know a little bit more about the Canadian culture.

I’m glad I had the opportunity to travel somewhere else in my life, I learned so much from all the people I met and the education I got from Tec. I’ll take the good memories with me.

I stayed with a family in Quebec and 3 more roommates who I got along quite well. I kinda miss them!

Here they are.

Career that I will study!

I chose: Licenciado en Relaciones Internacionales

As I mentioned several times, I’m still not sure if that’s really what I wanted to do with my life but as for now, this is the career that I think would suit me better.

I’ve always been interested in the Mexican government and not only because of my dad’s work In it, but because I’ve always felt like there is always something better to do. As for example; I wanna be an ambassador because I wanna be able to connect our country with other countries so all we can learn from each other.

As well as my love for languages may be useful in this career, I felt like finally I will be able to push myself for what I really wanna do and what I enjoy de most.

I decided to study here in Tec the university because I really liked the program and all the classes they offer.

That’s all I have to say for my journey in Prepa Tec.

Thank you so much for reading this!
